What we collect

When you register with an email address, we collect your email address and a password hash (auth.Register). If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID, email address, and display name from your Google account (POST /auth/google).

During onboarding, you choose your industry and proficiency level — we store this to personalise your experience (PATCH /me).

Every sentence you submit for polishing or news commentary is stored as a LearningSession. From these submissions, the system generates flashcards for later review.

We also track your XP, streaks, and weekly leaderboard position to display your progress and rankings.

AI processing

When you submit a sentence for polishing or a news comment, the content is sent to Google Gemini for grading and gap analysis. This means your text leaves Engrow's servers and is processed by Google under their terms.

We send only the text you entered and the context needed for grading — never your email, name, or payment information.

If you do not want your content processed in this way, please do not submit it to Engrow. The grading features cannot function without this step.

Payments

Payments for paid plans are processed through VNPay, a third-party payment gateway. Engrow never sees or stores your credit card, debit card, or banking details.

Engrow records only an order ID, amount, payment status, and timestamps (PaymentOrder) for reconciliation and plan activation.

Retention and deletion

Your data is stored as long as your account is active.

You can request account deletion at any time through the support page. When an account is deleted, we remove all Learning Sessions, flashcards, and leaderboard scores associated with you.

Your rights

You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (right of access).

You have the right to request correction of inaccurate or outdated data (right to rectification).

You have the right to request deletion of your data or account (right to erasure), as described in 'Retention and deletion'.

You have the right to withdraw consent to voluntary data processing, including stopping submissions for AI grading, at any time.
